Thank goodness for MT-Medic. Once again, I have been having trouble logging into my blog. “Invalid Login” is all I kept seeing. I downloaded MT-Medic and all is well again.

Okay, so where have I been?
Well, as usual, the drive to blog has been quite low, but I hope to pick up again in the next few weeks. Make sure you check out some of the sites in my webring – JenJournals. There are lots of awesome Jens out there! :)

See you soon!

I am still pretty new to all of this and I am not (yet) addicted to my blog, but I think I may be addicted to my blog categories. I find myself constantly adding new categories and revising the ones I already have – even though I haven’t even used more than half of them yet.
There is just something very satisfying about writing an entry and knowing exactly where is belongs. It makes me feel as though my life has some order to it.
While I am on the topic of categories, I am very pleased to announce that this is my very first “double categorical” entry.
The first category is “Blogs, Journals, etc.”….which obviously cover the first portion of this particular entry.
The second category is called “The Dating Life.” Truth be told, I don’t quite have a dating life at the moment…..however, it feels so positive and soooo optimistic to have this category just ready and waiting for me to fill it up with my future dating stories. So, stay tuned and keep your eyes open for any and all forthcoming “Dating Life” entries.

My Blog To Do List

Everytime I visit a new web log site, I get a list of ideas for this one.
So here is my To Do List:
1. Add the number of entries for each category.
2. Join 4 more webrings
3. If I can’t find 4..start my own.
4. Have a clip from a random log entry.
5. List the number of entries
6. Go through my Category list and fix it up a bit.

Ummm….okay that’s all for now. Time for B-Ball practice!

Loving it

Okay, I’m a computer nerd – I’ll admit it. I am absolutely loving this new web log project of mine. (My brother has forbidden me from using the word ‘blog’…much too trendy, he says)
Blog blog blog.
In any case, it is entirely too much fun. And a good night’s rest did make things much better. I am trying not to go too overboard in the beginning. I’m sure I’ll be able to do some fun advanced things with the web log over the next few months, but for now I just want it to work correctly and look presentable.
Okay..back to work!

Me overdo?

There comes a time when a person realizes that they have spent too much time working on the same thing over and over again. Suddenly, I am very tired of playing with my new weblog program. This usually means I have neglected to pace myself and I am coming close to overloading this poor little brain of mine. Time to sleep and to refresh myself for tomorrow. If experience has taught me anything it’s that things always look different (and usually better) in the morning.

And so it begins…

A few years ago, someone wrote to me and told me that they thought I might enjoy maintaining a weblog. Although I definitely like the idea of keeping an online journal, I found that I really didn’t have the time to set one up. I have a hard time just starting something without researching it first and finding the best way to do something and the best resources to use while doing it. So, I pretty much forgot about the entire weblog idea until I came across that email again a few days ago. So…here I am.
I tried Blogger, but I kind of like having a little more control over my web creations, so I ended up with Greymatter, which was wonderful, but not quite what I was looking for….and then I tried Movable Type…and finally moved to WordPress. I have spent 5 long hours playing around with the design, the name, the colors, etc. I wouldn’t be surprised if this weblog ends up looking completely different by the end of the weekend. Well, so far so good.
