Computer toys for Jen

Today was a day when I just didn’t love my job as much as I normally do.  We had 18 kids at the day care by 8AM.  The two big rooms were filled with kids from the age of 1 to the age of 10.
Too many kids, not enough room.  It was rather ‘zoo-ish’.

On a good note, however, I came home to find FedEx delivering one of the ‘toys’ I bought for myself last week.  A Bytecc hard drive enclosure.  (Okay, maybe not what you might consider a toy, but anything electronic that I can play with is definitely a toy to me!)  After my last computer upgrade, I was left with a 1 gig internal hard drive.  Not much, but now I can turn it to an external hard drive – kind of like a big zip disk.  It’s is a pretty good model so far….it connects through USB and has an internal fan to keep it cool.  There is no transformer…just a plug to the outlet.  And, it gives me something to format today.  I usually can’t go a few months without feeling the need to reformat one of my hard drives.  I like starting fresh.
Well, the next thing I am waiting for is a web cam.  I bought one that attaches to my laptop.  I expect that the quality won’t be terribly fabulous, but hey, that’s what you get when you buy things on sale.
