This article: How to reformat your hard drive and reinstall Windows XP should give you an idea about how I have decided to spend the next 24 hours.
My computer has been acting…weird…and slow…and I just don’t like it!
I bought a new motherboard (Intel’s D865PERL….I am soooooo excited about that!) the other day and tomorrow my new computer case should be arriving. (I needed a case to hold an ATX motherboard) Next on the list is a 3.2 Gigahertz processor and some new RAM and I will be zoooooooming! I hope!
But, in the meantime, I need to clear out the mess on my computer and give it a chance to breathe clearly again. Then I will work on transferring everything to my new computer.

The worst part is reformatting….I keep having this fear that I am going to forget to back something up and then I’ll never see it again. I suppose the most important thing is really my email and my pictures. Everything else I can really download again if I needed to, but I would never be able to get back my old email messages and pictures.
Well, wish me luck and I’ll let you know how everything goes tomorrow. XP can be tricky sometimes and I just hope it doesn’t give me any trouble.
